Darlene,
Just thought I would tell you that I got
home safely.
It was a great trip! Lots of
fun exercising, getting some sun, eating healthily, being pampered,
meeting you, getting to know some of the other ladies - either as new
friends or continuing friends, and shopping!
Hope you had a good flight home!
Keep me posted on next year's trip!
I'm pretty sure that I can come!
Fondly,
Elizabeth
Hi
Darlene,- just wanted to thank you for your lovely note and the list.
I
thoroughly enjoyed the week and am happy you were our leader. I think
you did a great job, were most attentive and I certainly will be with
you again next year. The small village we went to on our way back was
most intriguing and very interesting.
All
the best, and many thanks again for your great care.

Hi

The

meeting everyone. They are such a nice group of gals. For
certain I plan to go again next year. Thank you for making the
trip worry free.

this is a fabulous archeological museum, but no lunch stop

I can deal
with that" More guacamole please"

summed up our beauty trip beautifully, and I hope we are all still
feeling beautiful. My first time, so after the initial stress of
"what class do I go to now," "where should I eat,"
"when will be robes be available?" was replaced with
"wow, what a workout!", "best yogurt I've ever
tasted,"
"I
got a robe with the logo", the schedule settled down to socializing
with old and new friends, working up a sweat, and getting the body
pampered, winding up with frantic shopping. My vocabulary now embraces
arriba, vamos, manos, caramba, aye yai yai (sp), and marguerita.
Lots
of fun memories, All, and I'm glad I was at Ixtapan with all of you.
Nancy
My thanks, as well, to everyone for making this an
exceptional trip. I admire all the positiveness that comes from
you wonderful women! It reminds me of all I have to be thankful
for and am especially thankful to have met all of you and the time we
spent together. My sweet dog "Cinnamon" was happy to see me,
and she is helping me continue my exercise!
Until our next trip....my best, Barb
Dear Spa Sisters,
Thank you for a
most memorable experience. It was outstanding!
When I first
heard about this trip, I prepared to relax with my five books, eating
spa food, and thinking great thoughts. I have to admit, these were
not accomplished but more important activities were achieved.
Instead, I met
exciting new friends, reignited old companionships, ate great food,
warmed up to golf, tennis and water aerobics with lessons galore, and
reflected upon small but blissful thoughts.Thank
you for enriching my life by sharing ten remarkable days.
Unfortunately, you made the time pass too quickly. I hope to have
an opportunity to see all of you again very soon.
Fondly,
Gloria
Hi All,
Had a fun time too meeting all of you too, playing cards, exercising
in the pool, walking into town to buy those colorful tote bags,
shopping in Taxco and Medepec and eating all that guacamole!
Take care and stay healthy!
Bonnie
Ay Carumba, Dali! Are you trying to discourage us from future spa trips?
No way we'll stop weight training...since our favorite exercises were
carrying shopping bags, shuffling cards and lifting forks and spoons.
Thanks for gathering us all to get fit and have a fun time!
Patsy
Yes, what a great trip. You people made it
special. THANK YOU! Barbara and I are motivated to exercise and eat
healthy. My granddaughters loved the purses.
Shanna
It
was wonderful having a great week with all of you and thanks for your
continued friendship and support to this LOL who tried very hard to keep
up
with my young friends. Finally got back to my home base around
midnight and
since I hadn't lost a pound, promptly went to the freezer for a tamale
to
drown my sorrows. I told my doc today I couldn;t believe with all the
pummeling of my body massages, and huffing and puffing through aerobics
and
aquatics, not one bit of fat came off -- and she said I guess I didn't
work
hard enough - oh my!!
FYI she said my static in my ear may be due to old age and called
tinnitis
where the eutacean tube flap doesn't work well --- and maybe nothing can
be
done but in the meantime, getting a hearing test before she will refer
me to
ENT doc -- that's Kaiser for you.....will keep you up to date on the old
folks ailment just incase you get it down the road.
Thanks again for the comradeship and encouragement -- for beating me at
cards, and for letting me see how the other half of the world eats
without
gaining a pound -- disgusting!!
Already been home a day and went to a birthday luncheon, played 9 holes
of
golf trying out Leno's manos and cabeza tips which didn't work, and went
to
the San Jose Ballet tonight -- so utterly falling asleep as I write this
---
adios
Gerrye
I also must send my thanks to everyone. I
had a wonderful time at the spa with all the wonderful treatments and
great food, who could NOT have a good time. The shopping
was fun and as my daughters can attest to as they have taken all my tote
bags.
I look forward to a future trip with all of you. It has been fun
and enjoyable meeting all of you super women.
Take care,
Janet Fong
OK, I don't want to be left out with my two cents.
I had a WONDERFUL time with a bunch of pretty good looking women.
As I've said before, how did we get this old, it was only yesterday that
we were teeny boppers. Or at least for me, it was yesterday when I
stopped acting like one.
I certainly kept the economy going in Mexico but love all the things I
bought. Like most of you, I am glad my tummy cooperated and did
not leave me with the touristas for too long. I too was so
disappointed that I did not lose an ounce but was glad to be pampered. I
thought after the first day of trying every exercise there was that I
was going to die. It would have been worth it if I had something
to show for it. But I have lots of stories, fun and JEWELS to
show.
Thanks again, Dali and Darlene. It's not easy with a bunch of
women.
Fondly- Candi
Darlene,
Thank
YOU! I had such a wonderful time in Ixtapa de la Sal, and I
attribute it all to your organization!!! Thanks, for the sponge
mattress (I’m going to get one), guiding us through town for an
orientation pre-shopping, taking us under your wing at the
festival(I’m not sure I would have found my way out of town to a cab
at midnight
on my own), and introducing us to Zanfeld’s and Silverland.
I
wore my silver jewelry to a dinner party last Saturday, and my friends
all oohed and aahed at the design of my necklace (from Julio’s).
My bracelet from Silverland was a hit! My daughter loves her
silver pendant from Zanfeld’s.
All
in all, the program at Hotel Ixtapa was the most fun…I particularly
loved the aqua fitness and salsa classes. The extras: the line
dancing, the festival, the shopping trips, the walking tours through the
various towns were invigorating and memorable.
Mucho
Gracias until we meet again!
Helen
Darlene,
I must say that was the very best vacation that I have ever
had, and I do believe that I will have to return every year for the rest
of my life. Thank you for being there for us when we needed you most. My
kids even commented that I haven't been yelling at them to pick up or
brush their teeth or anything since I got back from my trip.... I said
that's why it is so very important that Mommy go away each year....HA,
HA... If they are lucky the euphoria should last at least a week. I have
never concentrated that much on me in my entire life, and I really liked
it. Thank you again for all of your guidance. Hope to keep in touch.
Marlene
